How to Search the Prescott Court Docket
Search ARCourts is the official online starting point for a Prescott case. It publishes public case information from participating Arkansas Circuit, District, and appellate courts. Prescott is not its own court filter. Pick Nevada County first. Then choose Nevada County State District Court for a Prescott traffic, misdemeanor, small-claims, or limited civil case. Circuit Court is the right selection for a Prescott felony, domestic-relations, probate, or juvenile matter. General civil matters belong there too.
Have a party name, organization name, case number, citation number, or filing period ready. Before opening any Prescott result, compare the court, case number, description, status, and filing date. Similar names show up in other places and case categories.
- Read the source paper and identify the named court.
- Open Search ARCourts and choose participant or case search.
- Enter the name or known number, then apply Nevada County and court filters.
- Review Case Information and read all Case Events through the latest entry.
- Call the correct Prescott clerk for a missing record, current setting, or certified copy.
When no public image is linked, write down the event title and date before contacting the Prescott office. That gives staff a precise document target.
Prescott Houses Two Docket Counters
Prescott is the county seat. It is the only top-five Nevada County place listed as a State District Court location in the Arkansas Judiciary directory. Both key Prescott court-record offices sit inside the Nevada County Courthouse. Circuit Clerk Rita Reyenga works in Suite 103. Chief District Court Clerk Linda Bell works in Suite 104. The doors are close, but the records stay separate.
Route Prescott felonies, general civil suits, domestic relations, probate, juvenile cases, and other Circuit matters to Suite 103 at 870-887-2511. Send Prescott traffic citations, misdemeanors, small claims, and District civil matters to Suite 104 at 870-887-6016. That applies when the source paper names that court. The County Clerk's Prescott office in Suite 102 handles county administrative court business. It is not the usual trial-case custodian of the docket.

The Prescott Municipal Court
Prescott has no separate municipal court docket of its own. The city posts no Prescott docket search, calendar, payment page, judge listing, or caseload report. The lower-court institution that exists is the Nevada County State District Court, Prescott Department. That distinction matters. It keeps a searcher from inventing a Prescott city court name or mailing a record request to Prescott City Hall.
State District Court is a limited-jurisdiction Arkansas court. Its Prescott docket covers traffic, misdemeanor, small-claims, and civil work within state limits. Circuit Court stays separate as the general-jurisdiction court for Prescott matters. A Prescott ticket or notice can name a different authorized venue. The printed court always beats a general routing rule.
The Arkansas District Court directory is the official source. It covers the Prescott department and clerk contact. Check it again whenever current office details matter.
Prescott Search ARCourts Record Fields
A Prescott Search ARCourts lookup can start with participant names, an organization, or a case description. The service also offers Prescott case-number and citation-number search options. Filters cover county, court location, case type, and date. Prescott alone is weak. Nevada County and the actual court are the stronger filters.
Official search guidance treats one- and two-character names differently from longer names. If a short search fails, type the full spelling. If a common Prescott name returns too much, add the county, court, and filing dates. A result can display Case Summary or Case Information, participants, events, docket entries, offenses, sentences, or milestones. That applies when those details are public and relevant.
| Field | Prescott use | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Participant | Locate a Prescott person or party | Confirm role and case description |
| County | Select Nevada County | Do not use it if the source names another county |
| Court | Choose District or Circuit | Match the Prescott paper or case type |
| Case or citation number | Narrow a known Prescott matter | Enter it as printed |
| Date | Reduce similar Prescott results | Filing date is not a hearing date |
Prescott Court Dates and Settings
The court posts no standalone Prescott daily-calendar portal. Instead, find the case in Search ARCourts. Open Case Events. Look there for a hearing, arraignment, pretrial, docket call, trial, plea, review, sentencing, or other clear setting. A complaint date, charge date, or motion filing does not by itself set an appearance.
Read later entries for a continuance, reset, cancellation, order, or disposition. An old setting can linger in the event history after it stops controlling. Open the filed notice or order when a public image exists. Then call Suite 103 for a Circuit matter or Suite 104 for a District matter. For Circuit scheduling, try the assigned judge's trial court assistant. Do that once the judge is identified.
| Date | The scheduled date shown for the event, subject to later orders. |
|---|---|
| Time | The listed start time, which may be a docket call rather than an individual trial time. |
| Location | The court or room stated in the notice or public record. |
| Judicial officer | The assigned judge where the public record displays one. |
| Setting type | The kind of event, such as arraignment, pretrial, hearing, trial, or review. |
The court publishes no remote-appearance rules or building-specific closure steps, so never infer permission to appear remotely.
Prescott Courthouse Docket History
The present Nevada County Courthouse went up in 1964. It joined the National Register in 2018. Older Prescott docket books and court files can predate the building. They can also predate modern electronic case systems. So a missing online result may call for a paper-file or archive inquiry rather than another web portal.
The Association of Arkansas Counties profile documents the courthouse and its local setting.

The county's own published material names the current county officers. It also describes what sets the Prescott courthouse apart. Gaslights line the grounds. Gardens sit nearby. A historic Bank of Prescott clock stands close, along with local memorials, so a visit to the clerk's counter comes with a bit of character.
The clerk publishes no lobby hours for this building. No floor plan, parking notes, counter cutoffs, or public-terminal guide either. Call ahead and confirm the file you want is onsite and open for inspection.
Prescott Traffic Tickets
Read a Prescott citation before you search anything online. The court name, response date, and citation number tell you where to go next. If the ticket names Nevada County State District Court, run the citation through Search ARCourts, where public District data lives. Call Suite 104 when an entry or dollar amount confuses you. Fresh citations can lag before they reach the state system.
Arkansas eTraffic covers participating Contexte courts. Nevada County and Prescott are not on the participation list. So do not count on paying online. Confirm with the current court dropdown or the District Clerk instead. One more caution from the portal: paying in full acts as a plea and waives appearance or trial. Mandatory-appearance matters cannot be paid away online. The traffic court records reference lays out the broader court-record route.
Deadline warning: A missing online ticket does not cancel the citation. Follow the printed date and contact the Prescott District Clerk.
Prescott Court Kiosk Limits
The Arkansas Court Kiosk does have a Nevada County Circuit Court page. It covers payment and case categories. What it is not: a general Prescott name-search tool, a full District Court docket, or proof that any city citation can be paid there. Know the court and the case before you touch a payment channel.
Each tool has its own job. Search ARCourts handles public discovery. The kiosk handles transactions for a matter already identified. eFlex serves registered filers. Contexte is the court-management system behind it all. Keeping those roles straight keeps you from running a docket search on a payment or login screen. That habit saves time.
- Search ARCourts
- Public Arkansas case-information and document discovery.
- Court Kiosk
- A payment-oriented channel for listed cases or categories.
- eFlex
- The electronic filing application, not a public docket browser.
- Certified copy
- A clerk-authenticated copy of a court record.
Where Prescott Cases End Up
Prescott lower-court matters split into two paths. Traffic, misdemeanors, small claims, and District civil cases stay with the State District Court unless a transfer, an appeal, or another lawful event moves them. Felonies, domestic relations, probate, juvenile cases, and general civil suits belong to Circuit Court under its jurisdiction. The charge itself usually tells you which docket to check.
Docket flow: Prescott source paper › Nevada County State District Court or Circuit Court › Arkansas appellate court when an appeal is taken.
A transfer or an appeal can generate a brand-new case number in the receiving court. Search by the number you know. Then follow cross-references or transfer events in the record. For a county-level court map and clerk routing, the Nevada County court docket overview is the place to start. The Prescott street address may stay the same. The office holding the file and the docket number can both change.
Prescott Clerk Record Certification
An online case-events view is not automatically a certified Prescott court record. First decide what you actually need. A docket list, a plain filed document, or a certified judgment or order. Write down the court, case number, caption, event or document title, and filing date. Then call Suite 103 or Suite 104, depending on the court.
Nevada County publishes no complete local copy-fee card and no online certified-copy form. Arkansas law sets a $5 certificate-and-seal amount. That may not cover the full copy cost. Ask the clerk for the total, accepted payment, payee, delivery method, and timing before you send money. Court reporter transcripts follow a separate process and cannot be rebuilt from a docket. For mail, name the correct suite at 215 E. 2nd St. South, Prescott, AR 71857. Fax works only if the office confirms it accepts requests and gives safe submission instructions.
Public Access to Prescott Court Records
Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order No. 19 provides the main framework for court-record access. The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act governs public records broadly. It does not override the judiciary's rules. A public docket may sit online, at the counter, or behind a request. Some document images never reach the web.
Confidential categories stay off the ordinary public view. Juvenile, sealed criminal, adoption, and protected family records are the main ones. Protected identifiers get redacted too. Knowing a case number grants no right to restricted content, and a missing Prescott result never proves a historical case did not exist.
Key Rules:
Administrative Order No. 19 governs access to Arkansas court records and exclusions.
Ark. Code Ann. §25-19-101 et seq. is the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act for public records generally.
Arkansas Rule of Civil Procedure 5(c)(2) addresses redaction of confidential information in filed records.
Ark. Code Ann. §9-27-309 controls confidentiality and disclosure of juvenile records.
Verify Prescott Court Docket Details
The dependable Prescott sequence is search, read, and confirm. Start with the statewide portal for public discovery. Follow the Prescott court named on your source paper. Read every later event. Call the right Prescott clerk for an official answer. Before acting, ask about counter access, mail, fax, copies, certification, and any payment requirements that are not published.
Gaps exist. Search ARCourts may skip a restricted Prescott case, an older unconverted file, or some District detail, and a public entry may lack its document image. Neither gap justifies inventing a Prescott municipal portal or trusting a commercial substitute. The State District and Circuit offices in town remain the local endpoints for Prescott court docket information.
